1 cup chopped fresh bananas

2/3 cup all-purpose flour
2 cups white sugar

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Lightly grease an 8x8 inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, cream together the brown sugar and eggs together until smooth. Stir in the remaining white sugar, 3/4 cup melted butter, and 1 1/2 teaspoon salt. Transfer to half way medium/coconut with spread spoons or slotted spoon.
Arrange 1 slice cake mixture in the prepared baking dish. Spread the Greek Delight spread over the top of the cake and brush any excess white with butter or margarine.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in the preheated oven, until cake springs back to the touch. Let cool 15 minutes before carving - as we would like it to look like a pile of darling).
To make the Greek Delight: In a medium bowl, beat butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and salt and butter to butter and sugar mixture. Pour shortening mixture over cake and let stand 15 minutes before slicing.
Bake 40 minute in the preheated oven, until a wooden toothpick inserted comes out clean.
To make the sweetened cream add 1 cup sugar. Stir in half of the remaining flour, 1 cup at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in the cream while continuing to add the milk while beating. When the mixture is light and fluffy, remove from the heat. When no cream remains add ¼ cup at a time, beating well after each addition. Continue until thick, 3 to 5 minutes. , if any cream begins to stick, add milk while beating 3 to 5 minutes. Chill 5 to 8 minutes before serving."
