3 apples - peeled, cored, and chopped
1/2 cup water
2 pounds fresh carrots, diced
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup butter
1 teaspoon sugar
2 garlic, peeled, peeled and minced
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
In a medium saucepan, bring water to a boil. When water just comes to a boil, pour apple and carrot juice into saucepan, cover and simmer for 5 minutes. (Or until boiled down to evaporate, discard bay leaves). Stir in remaining flour, salt and baking powder, paprika, cinnamon and pepper. Cook 2 minutes more, stirring.
