3/4 cup white sugar
1 (15 ounce) can applesauce
1 (9 inch) springform pan
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 (3.4 ounce) package instant double brownie mix
1 cup vanilla ice cream topping
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line springform pan with foil.
In a large bowl, stir together sugar, applesauce, and vanilla. Beat eggs with a fork or pastry blender until frothy. In a small bowl, toss cooled fruit mixture with wet ingredients. Fold cake into bowl and sprinkle with extra cinnamon on top if desired.
Bake in a preheated oven for 45 to50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into center of the cake comes out clean.
Meanwhile, in a large bowl, beat egg yolk and white mixture until soft peaks form. Add dry/flavored egg whites, and continue beating for another 1 to 2 minutes. Gradually add wet ingredients, continuing to beat until stiff peaks form.
Stir in chocolate and chocolate chips, and frost top and sides of cake with frosted frosting.
