Fluffy Strawberry Upside-Down Ice Cream Cake Recipe

Ingredients

4 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate, chopped

3 tablespoons water

1 (2 ounce) package fresh strawberries, chopped

3/4 cup buttermilk

1/2 cup beaten egg whites

2 tablespoons blue food coloring

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.

To Make Frosting: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine 1/2 cup butter or margarine, 1 egg and 1 cup milk. Bring to boil, stirring constantly. Stir in strawberries and buttermilk. Heat until just very cold.

Pour mixture into prepared pan, and bake in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes, or until center is firm and cake springs back when lightly touched.
