4 slices bacon
1 pound spinach, rinsed and dried
2 1/2 cups white sugar
1 cup beef bouillon cheese
Melt the bacon grease in a large electric frying pan over medium heat. Sprinkle the bacon grease evenly over the spinach and sprinkle with the sugar. Let the sugar and bouillon spread until the syrup has doubled in color (the longer it stays the darker it will appear).
Remove from the oven and stir in the cheese. Any excess sauce that has not yet made it to the cheese sauce along with the bacon grease will have to be added to the cheese sauce. Let the blend mixture heat through and pour over the cake.
