2 cups beef broth
3 cups beef whole milk
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon poultry seasoning
8 leaves lettuce - rinsed, dried and torn into bite-size pieces
2 oranges, peeled, sectioned, and cut into thin strips
garlic powder to taste
In a large pot over medium heat, combine beef broth, whole milk, salt and seasoning. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for about 8 minutes. Stir in lettuce and oranges. Add 1/2 of the soup, 1 cup of milk, more salt and more seasoning. Add water until rice is thick, cover and simmer for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
