1/2 cup butter
3 tablespoons brown sugar
salt and black pepper to taste
2 onions, chopped
4 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed
1 (14 ounce) can French-style prepared horseradish
4 cups water
1 (3 ounce) package frozen whipped topping, thawed
3 cups ground pecans
2/3 cup apple juice
1/2 cup peeled pecans
Butter one eight-inch pie dish.
Combine butter, brown sugar, and salt and pepper to taste.
In a large bowl, beat together butter, brown sugar, and salt and pepper. Gradually stir in water until smooth. Remove from heat and stir in whipped topping until smooth. Spread mixture into pie pan.
Lemon juice may be added to taste. Pour into pan. Let cool prior to serving.
