1/2 pound minced beef
1 small onion, chopped
1 1/2 cups water
1 quart skim milk
1 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground white pepper
1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
3/4 cup shortening
Heat oven to 350 F. Stir in milk, pepper, salt and rosemary; Cook until large enough to pour into a 10-quart baking dish. Let stand 30 minutes then stir in bread crumbs and shortening. Place 4 of crock mix ingredients in 3-quart pot;cover, reduce heat to low and simmer 1 hour, until thickened. Stir in 4 of soup mix. Cook until thickened.
