2 cups cake flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup white sugar
3/4 cup water
1 egg
1 (3.9 ounce) package fruit flavored Jell-O
1/2 cup unflavored gelatin
1 1/2 cups milk
1/3 cup cold water
1/3 cup cornstarch
1 3/4 cups white sugar
1/4 cup vodka
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan. Gradually stir flour into cold water, then stir in baking powder and salt. Pour into prepared pan. Drizzle with milk.
In a bowl, beat egg and gelatin until frothy.
Pour milk mixture over egg mixture, then pour into prepared pan. Bake in preheated oven until a toothpick inserted comes out clean, 30 to 40 minutes. Cool 10 minutes before frosting.
To make the frosting, stir together cornstarch and 1/2 cup sugar until smooth. Stir in 1 cup water, remaining 2 tablespoons of sugar and vodka. Drizzle over cake. Cool completely in pan. Frost with Jell-O.
