1 (9 inch) unpeeled pie shell, baked
4 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup cold milk
1/3 cup straight hot water
2 tablespoons white sugar
2 cups vegetable oil for frying
Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Cook and stir eggs until bubbles start to form around edges, then remove from heat. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
In a medium bowl, whisk together milk, water, and sugar. Set aside.
In a large glass or metal bowl, whip together the oil and 1/2 cup of milk until soft peaks form. Fold the egg mixture into the cold milk mixture, and stir just until the ingredients are mixed. The batter will be sticky, but feel free to lighten it with milk.
Divide the meringue into three bowls. Pour the cooled meringue over all, and sprinkle with the top of an chocolate salted cookie or biscuit cup.
Fry the banana mixture in the oven, if desired. Hand wash, and dry with newspaper before serving.
