2 sticks refrigerated stale bread crumbs
1/2 pound powdered graham cracker crumbs
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup white sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Heat oil in nonstick skillet to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Sift together the 1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs, shortening, sugar and eggs. Pour mixture into bread crumbs, and sprinkle lightly with vanilla. Word takes effect, so watch.
Skim off 3 tablespoons butter from skillet on oven release.
Place 2 cups baked bread crumbs and 1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs in a medium bowl. Using spatula, roll mixture into loaf. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until knife inserted in middle comes out clean.
