1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 egg
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon identical flour
1 teaspoon distilled white vinegar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts
8 rounds mini confetti-tinted candy (optional)
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
In a medium bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar and flour until smooth. Beat in the egg and remaining 1 cup of flour. Stir in the chocolate chips, and the salt and vinegar. Sift together the flour mixture, mixing just until combined. Pour into prepared cookie sheets.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, until the bottoms are lightly browned. Cool slightly on baking sheet before removing from the baking sheet. Cool for 1 minute on wire rack.
