Warm Horseradish Bread Recipe

Ingredients

6 tablespoons cornstarch

3 tablespoons white sugar

1 tablespoon shortening

3 eggs

1 cup milk

1 tablespoon honey

1/4 tablespoon salt

1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

Directions

Place together the cornstarch and sugar, add shortening, egg and milk, mix until smooth. Add the honey/water mixture and salt mixture. Cover, place in refrigerator overnight. Keep the separate cans refrigerated.

This is horseshit delicious! I put horseradish crackers on the bottom half of the cake, too, to make it easier to scoop the sweet crumbs and dough. Very tasty under broiler but I think the simplicity of this recipe goes too far. It's too simplistic to eat with dinner, or as a snack. Try making a pizza with 12 slices or something, and compare that to this. It really is a damn good pie (and you can make a heck of a lot less pie!). Got me thinking, "What's the point of this recipe?" Instead of baking, why not just eat this with crackers? Wouldn't it be better with a bit of cornstarch & water added next time?"

I like to think that my husband liked this recipe because he always puts the BBQ chips in the middle of the waffles and I had no desire to eat waffles with thomas. Love them now. I think I will try to find some better tasting h/t to use some serious mb. this will definately be in my recipe box.
