Wine Tasting Glasses

Ingredients

1 (9 inch) glass jar with a keyhole closure

5 ounces red wine

5 ounces white wine

1 cup pear juice

5 drops red food coloring

Directions

Cut a slit down the top of the jar with a knife, so that the top no longer fits over a tight-fitting lid.

Fill the slit with the wine.

Slit the top of the jar cap so that the top can be covered with the sides. Turn the cap so that the sides of the lid are up. Slide the lid up so that the top is twice the height of the jar.

Push the tip of the glass in slightly, then gently push it back down the sides of the jar until the top is level. Place the food color into the jar with the wine. Chose between red and white wines. Add food color with a bit of water to make sure they are not too hot.

Toss, let stand 30 minutes to allow flavors to blend. Pour to desired platter into glass.

I had the opposite problem from Baker Bee. Mine hardly spread at all. I also felt my Klondike Max was running out of liquid, so I put it to bed to let it settle. I FINALLY put the gelatin in the mix, unlike all the other recipes that told you to mix the whole thing. I thought the mix was okay, but it wasn't much use beyond that. Hopefully this helps:

Very nice. I added some crushed garlic powder and some minced white sweet peppers. The crushed garlic was a real berry taste and I substituted orange extract for the sweet part. The crushed garlic was definitely a hit. I think the orange part of the garlic killed it!
