Preheat the oven to 350 F (175 C). Grease and flour 2 loaf pans; 19x4x2-inch.
In large bowl, cream together the butter, shortening and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in egg and vanilla. Stir together flour, baking powder and salt; gradually combine to saucepan; gradually stir in shortening mixture, Milk, wet milk and shortening. Whisk until smooth. Stir in sugar, don't over- or under-cook.
Pours batter evenly onto prepared pans. Bake at 350 F (175 C) for 45 to 50 minutes or until a wooden toothpick inserted into a loaf comes out clean. Invert onto wire rack.
