6 eggs
2 cups white sugar
2 1/4 cups water
2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
1 1/4 teaspoons dried basil, crushed
In a medium saucepan, combine eggs, sugar, water and cilantro. Bring to a boil in a small measure, then reduce the heat and simmer 30 minutes, or until cooked through. (Note: You can also refrigerate the mixture for an hour or more before serving.)
