1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup water
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 whole peaches - peeled, cored and chopped
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/3 cup cornstarch
In a large saucepan, combine sugar, water, milk and vanilla extracts. Bring to a boil over a medium heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring constantly, until mixture cools. Stir in peaches and olive oil, cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
I used gumbo and it came out very well.
