1/3 cup olive oil
4 cloves garlic, peeled
1 pound beef sirloin, sliced
1 white onion, chopped
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 teaspoons minced fresh basil
1 clove garlic, peeled
3/4 cup white wine
1/4 cup dry white wine
1/4 cup white rice
1/4 cup dry milk
1/2 cup butter
3/4 pound lean ground beef
1 cup water
1/2 cup red wine
1 (1.25 ounce) package unsalted butter
In a large saucepan over medium heat, heat olive oil. In a small bowl, toss together garlic and 1/4 cup of yellow wine. Add salt and pepper and toss until thoroughly coated. Stir in basil and garlic; cook for one minute. Stir in beef and cook, stirring over medium heat, until nearly done, 7 to 10 minutes.
Stir in wine, rice, milk, butter and seasoned ground beef. Puree into saucepan; simmer, uncovered, until slightly thickened. Add adequate water if sauce becomes too thick for desired consistency.
