1 1/2 cups white sugar
3/4 cup water
2 quarts brewed milk
1/2 cup melted white butter
3/4 cup whole wheat flour
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup rolled oats
1 tablespoon melted butter
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Lightly grease an 8x8 inch baking dish.
In a medium bowl, stir together 1/2 cup sugar and water. Stir in 2 quarts of milk, melted butter, whole wheat flour, and salt. Stir milk mixture into flour mixture and stir until all ingredients are well blended. Stir in baking soda, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Pour into prepared pan. Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes. Cool 15 minutes before serving.
