1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup butter
1/10 cup ground peanuts
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 (8 ounce) can peanut butter
1 (10 ounce) package frozen puff pastry, thawed
1/4 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon hot water
1 (8 ounce) package fruit loaf mix
1/2 cup sugary confectioners' sugar
Combine flour, shortening, water and peanuts in large bowl. Form dough into ball. Stir in salt and pepper. Shape dough into 1 1/2 inch balls, about 20 minutes.
Grease a 9x13 inch pan. Butter one 8x12 inch loaf pan or deep dish pie pan. Stir half of the flour mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 8 to 15 minutes, or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool 15 minutes before serving. Garnish with mint sprigs and spix.
Whip ½ cup condensed whipped cream, and drizzle half of the whipped cream over cooled crust. Spread cooled crust with removed poppy seeds.
