1 (9 inch) pie crust, baked
3 eggs
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup white sugar
1 (16 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
3 tablespoons cornstarch
3/4 cup water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 (9 inch) prepared chocolate cookie crumb crust
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
In a large bowl, combine eggs, 1/2 cup sugar, and salt. Beat in butter and remaining 1/2 cup sugar. Stir in flour until just moist. Stir in cornstarch, water, and vanilla extract. Mix into egg mixture, 1/2 cup at a time, until all ingredients are thoroughly combined. Drop by heaping spoonfuls onto prepared cookie sheets.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes in the preheated oven, until set in center. Cool completely on cookie sheets, then cut into squares.
