1 (12 ounce) package white cake mix
1 (10 ounce) package frozen puff pastry, thawed and drained
1 (14 ounce) can whole peeled tomatoes
2 cups white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1 (10 ounce) package frozen whipped topping, thawed
1/2 cup pecans
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a large bowl, combine cake mix, puff pastry, tomatoes, and sugar. Beat well. Stir in vanilla and butter. Pour batter into prepared pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 55 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into center of the cake comes out clean. Let cool 15 minutes before serving.
