1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1/2 cup olive oil
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1/2 onion, chopped
1 dash Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 pinch hot pepper
1/2 cup dry white wine
1/2 cup red wine vinegar
1/2 cup water
6 potatoes, peeled and chopped
1 cup dry bread crumbs
2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
3 pounds garbanzo beans, rinsed and drained
1 cup whole peeled tomatoes
3 cloves garlic, chopped
2 (14.5 ounce) cans tomato paste
1/4 cup olive oil
1 small red onion, chopped
1 tomato, sliced
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 teaspoons chopped fresh basil
garlic powder to taste
garam masala to taste
Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, olive oil, garlic, onion, Worcestershire sauce, basil, pepper and wine. Place mashed potatoes in bowl and set bowl over medium-high heat.
Steam potatoes until tender. Stir in tomato paste, garlic powder and salt and pepper. Simmer 2 to 3 hours.
Deliver potatoes later and stir in garam masala and red onion.
