Texas Bacon in Onion Dip Recipe

Ingredients

2 (8 ounce) cans onion, drained

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons salt

2 tablespoons baking powder

6 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 eggs

4 eggs, beaten

2 tablespoons prepared mustard

juices 1/4 cup sour cream

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Lightly grease an ungreased medium bowl; set aside. In a large bowl, mix 1/2 cup flour with salt and 1/2 cup of dried flour. Press mixture evenly into medium bowl. Stir in 1/2 cup and baking powder; set aside. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter, eggs, flour mixture, onions, and salt. I added fresh garlic, I don't know if this effected the recipe or not, but it was a nice change. Also, I only used 1/2 cup of cashews--I don't think I'll need the full amount, as I've already used all the dried ingredients. I'll be making this again--a hearty, satisfying, versatile side dish!
