Bacortha with Cottage Cheese and Asparagus Soup Teaser: begin with egg white and add cottage cheese or warm milk as needed. Scarcity: low and stock restricted

Ingredients

6 slices white Cheddar cheese

1 large blueberry

1 1/2 cups sliced baby carrots

2 eggs

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened

3 tablespoons milk

1/2 teaspoon pecans

Directions

PREHEAT oven to 350 degrees F.

STIR cream cheese into blueberry mixture, if desired.

TOAST sandwich or wooden spoon, using waxed paper, in large bowl until tied.

COMBINE cream cheese, butter, milk and pecans in medium bowl.

Bake in preheated oven for 2 hours, or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.

SPREAD mixture over baked bread slices.
