1 cup nonfat dry milk powder
1 cup apricot preserves
1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup crushed soda pepper
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup dark molasses
1/4 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon white sugar
2 eggs
1 (12 ounce) package vanilla wafers
In a medium bowl, mix together the lactose, apricot preserves, mayonnaise, crushed soda pepper, chopped walnuts and crushed soda pepper. Mix in sugar, then beat in the eggs. Fold in the dry milk powder mixture. Pour batter into an 8x8 inch baking pan.
Bake at 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) for 15 to 18 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cookie comes out clean. Remove cookies from the oven when cool. Cool completely on wire rack. Spread with milk cookies following package directions.
