French Cover Routine Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup water

1 1/4 cups heavy cream

1/3 cup confectioners' sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup rolled oats

1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

3 egg yolks, beaten

1 cup raisins (optional)

1 cup blanched almond halves (optional)

Directions

In a saucepan bring water to a boil in a medium saucepan. Whisk cream and sugar until foamy, then heat as liquid evaporates. Gradually stir in vanilla extract and milk until desired consistency of pudding is reached. Stir in rolled oats and chocolate chips. Blend in yolks and raisins. Pour mixture into custard mixture and chill until ready to serve (3 to 5 hours). Cover wire racks or foil on plastic wrap.
