Spicy Chocolate Cake Recipe

Ingredients

3 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup white sugar

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 cup boiling water

3/4 cup vegetable oil

2 cups milk

2 cups chocolate syrup

1 cup chopped walnuts

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour 2 (9 inch) round pans. sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and boiling water. Set aside.

In a large bowl, mix eggs, vanilla extract and sugar. Beat in flour mixture until well blended. Mix in melted butter or margarine. Fold flour mixture into egg mixture. Pour batter into prepared pans.

Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Cool completely before cutting into squares. Place cones in a single layer in the center of racks. Using a wooden spoon, swirl chocolate syrup around the edges of the cakes. In a small bowl, mix chopped nuts with milk. Drizzle chocolate syrup over cones. Cool completely before cutting into squares.
