Lemon Brownies II Recipe

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter

1/2 cup light brown sugar

2 eggs

1 1/2 cups white sugar

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon lemon extract

1/2 cup flaked coconut

1 or 2 lemon-lime flavored Jell-O

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Press a little white on the center of each brownie. Press edges of the bottom of each brownie to seal. You can press them flat.

In a large bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time. Combine sugar, flour, salt, eggs and 1/2 cup flour; spoon into the creamed mixture. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

While the brownies are chilling, make the liqueur: Melt 1 cup liqueur in a shallow dish or bowl. Stir in 1/2 cup lemon-lime soda, then pour over the brownies. Chill overnight.

Spread the liqueur mixture on top of the brownies while the brownies are chilling. When the brownies are cool, frost with the liqueur frosting.
