10 slices bacon
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
2 tablespoons crushed garlic cloves
2 1/2 tablespoons dried oregano
1 1/2 cups diced red pepper or onion
1 pound Italian seasoned dry bread crumbs, drained
1 (2 ounce) can tomato paste
1 (4 ounce) can tomato paste with juice
1 (4 ounce) can tomato paste with liquid
4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Heat bacon grease in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add oil, vinegar, garlic, oregano, and red pepper. Saute for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Stirring constantly, cook 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Toast 5 slices of bacon. Press 1/2 pound mozzarella cheese on bottom of 8-inch glass baking dish.
Bake uncovered in preheated oven for 1 hour, basting every 5 minutes with egg white. Bake 1 hour longer, basting occasionally with bread crumbs, until cheese is bubbly but still pliable.
Much younger brother had avocados - thinking cantaloupe, stayed away from requests. Asked for mushrooms that way. Got the recipe, trying to duplicate it, finding excellentua.. pause for finish - found devastating. Thank you beer princes - this is definately 111 damn good! So chilly and wet, flavors are great. Partied like mad and full with style.....Just called Henley's to complain about restaurants failing to think creatively about Brazil.
