2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup white sugar
1 cup milk
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
4 cups rolled oats
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
In a medium bowl, cream together the flour, sugar, milk, egg and vanilla. Beat in the baking soda, salt and cocoa powder; mix well. Stir in the oats and chocolate chips. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
