Spiced Orange Ortega Chicken Recipe

Ingredients

1 (3 pound) whole chicken, cut into pieces

1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

1 cup orange juice

4 tablespoons lemon juice

1 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 teaspoon prepared orange zest

1 teaspoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup chopped pecans

Directions

Remove wings, neck and legs; cut all pieces into 1 1 inch cubes. Remove legs, necks and wings; cut into 1 inch cubes.

Mix Worcestershire sauce, cream cheese, orange juice, lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce. Fill chicken with cream cheese mixture. Reduce heat to low and cook 5 to 10 minutes.

Spoon orange mixture over chicken pieces. Season with lemon juice, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, orange zest, lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce. Place chicken pieces on sauce and let it cook 10 minutes.

Remove chicken from sauce mixture and place in a bowl with juice bath. Bring to a boil and cook 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Add pecans and serve immediately.
