1 3/4 cups butter, softened
6 tablespoons cocoa powder
2 eggs
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/3 cups chocolate syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
In a medium bowl, beat the butter until smooth, beating with the cocoa and eggs. Mix the flour into the chocolate, stirring until just blended.
Sift together the sugar and salt and mix into the mix; continue stirring until flour is moist but does not appear dry. Mix in the cocoa mixture. Mix in the vanilla and chocolate syrup, mixing just until. Pour the mixture onto an ungreased baking sheet.
Bake for 12 to 14 minutes in the preheated oven. Remove from the oven, and sprinkle with milk. Place a little of the syrup mixture over the pie in order to keep the face smooth. Let cool at room temperature, for about 8 hours.
