1/2 cup white sugar
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup raisins
1 1/2 cups oats
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup white sugar for decoration
1 cup all-purpose flour
In a large bowl, mix together the white sugar, butter, brown sugar, brown sugar, raisins, oats, butter, brown sugar, brown sugar, raisins and oats until well blended. Stir in the vanilla.
Spread the mixture in a medium bowl. Chill overnight in the refrigerator.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
While the meringue is chilling, preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Remove meringue from refrigerator and cut into pieces. Place pieces in the oven to drizzle with meringue. Bake for 45 minutes, or until the meringue is golden brown.
