Grandma's Chocolate Chip Pie Recipe

Ingredients

1 (18 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

1 (3 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix

1 cup milk

2 eggs

1 cup buttermilk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon instant chocolate syrup

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup chopped almonds

1/2 cup chopped walnuts

2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs

1 (11 ounce) can evaporated milk

1 (15 ounce) can remaining chocolate syrup

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

To Make Crust: In a medium bowl, cream together cream cheese, pudding mix, milk, eggs, buttermilk, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth. Stir in pudding mixture and almonds.

To Make Pie Crust: Place 1 cup whipped cream in a medium bowl, and beat until thickened. Spread mixture evenly into pie crust.

To Make Egg Crust: Place 1/3 cup whites in a large glass or metal bowl, and beat until stiff. Spread 1/3 cup whipped cream over egg crust.

To Make Filling: Beat remaining 1/3 cup whipped cream into cream cheese mixture. Roll lightly into 1 inch balls. Place cooled pie crust on platter.

Slice pie into 1 inch slices. Place 1 tablespoon of filling mixture onto pie slice. Brush egg crumbs over top. Repeat with remaining pie slices.

Roll patty rolls onto a flat surface. Brush egg white on top of rolls. Chill at least 4 hours before serving.
