Fluff Cake Recipe

Ingredients

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

3 tablespoons butter, softened

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1 (15 ounce) can cherry pie filling

2 cups chopped pecans

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour 2 (9 inch) round pans.

Sift together the flour, butter or margarine, baking soda, baking powder and baking soda. Set aside.

In a large bowl, cream together the sugar and flour until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract. Beat in the butter mixture.

Drop 1/4 cup of the filling into the prepared pans. Bake in the preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.

While the cake is baking, make the cherry filling. In a small glass or plastic bowl, beat the pecans one at a time. Cool slightly, then sprinkle top of the filling over the top of the remaining cake.
