Long Grain Rice Recipe

Ingredients

1 pound long grain rice

2 cups water

1 large onion, peeled and cut into 1/2 inch cubes

1 1/2 cups uncooked white rice

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

1/4 teaspoon onion powder

1 cup heavy cream or milk, room temperature

1/2 teaspoon seasoned rice wine vinegar

1 teaspoon dried parsley

Directions

In a large saucepan bring water, onion, rice, salt, pepper, onion powder and cream cheese to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 5 minutes.

Stir in rice wine vinegar, parsley, onion, process and pepper mixture. Cover and simmer without stirring for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
