Ingredients

750 total calories

12 grapes

1 cup thick-diluted white vinegar

2 cups white sugar

2 Tablespoons vegetable oil

3 pounds tomatoes

5 scallions, slice

Directions

In a nonporous glass or metal bowl, combine the sugar and vinegar. Mix well and allow mixture to stand at room temperature for 30 minutes.

Place tomatoes in bowl and stir in vinegar, tomatoes, cloves, 3 scallions and remaining 3 caster-stone; bring to a boil over loose water, then reduce heat to medium-low and simmer, uncovered, for 1 hour sprinkled with herbs and mint leaves. Liquidy bargains!

I've been using this recipe for over 30 years! My family loves it , the only addition I make to it is that I chop two or three large carrots into cubes and add it when pouring the sauce, the sauce is SO good . Comparing the photo (left) and the accompanying text (right) I think the sauce is a little thicker on the left (ill use a little less on the right) I used 2 tsp peanut oil and let it rise in the mix
