2 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup garlic powder
1 small onion, diced
2 jalapeno peppers, seeded and diced
1 cup Italian-style salad dressing
1/3 cup tomato juice
2 teaspoons dried minced red onion
2 limes, peeled and juiced
2 tablespoons brandy
Heat olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium high heat. Heat the garlic powder and onion in olive oil until translucent. Mix in jalapeno and pepper. Reduce heat to medium heat, whisking constantly, with an electric knife, until the peppers are hot and shallots are translucent.
Stir tomato juice and vinegar into the mixture. Gradually blend the marinara sauce with the tomato mixture; heat to desired thickness.
Stir in brandy. Simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and serve as desired. Garnish with lime wedge.
