1 3/4 cups packed light cream
1 cup softened butter
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 (1 ounce) square unsweetened chocolate
2 tablespoons milk
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 egg whites
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Generously grease a 9x13 inch pan.
In a large bowl, cream together the light cream, softened butter, and vanilla until smooth. Beat in the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon. Mix in the chocolate and 2 tablespoons milk, mix until well blended. Stir in the vanilla extract and egg whites. Spread mixture evenly into the prepared pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 55 minutes, or until browned. Cool completely before frosting with chocolate frosting.
