Rhubarb Dona Recipe


1 medium peach, peeled and sliced

2 large raspberries

1 medium orange, peeled and sliced

1/2 medium orange, sliced

3 cups rhubarb, quartered

1 cup white sugar

1 teaspoon table salt, divided

1 cup butter

2 1/2 cups milk


Peel peach slices and slice them into 1/4 inch slices, whichever you like. Slice the orange slices in half horizontally, cutting into 2 orange halves. Crunch the peel and juice into a large punch bowl.

Place a pebble of sugar in a shallow dish, and place the peach slices on top. Pour the orange juice over all and mix thoroughly.

Place orange slices on a large silver baking sheet. Plop half of the rhubarb over peach slices, and seal edges of pebble with your fingers. The rhubarb will pull quickly.

Mix white sugar and table salt in a small saucepan, and pour over peach slices. Place peach slices on fruit, and top with the remaining orange slices.

Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes. Remove pebble from peach slices, and spoon over peach slices. Serve peach slices with whipped cream, if desired.

This was very good but I would have given more stars. I followed the recipe exactly ... crisped them up a little and added a little garlic powder. Oh and I added spinach. They were perfect from the inside, looked great and smelt like heaven..I already gave the recipe to my sister :) Thank you for the recipe
