1 1/2 cups butter, softened
1 1/4 cups white sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 egg
1 1/4 cups corn syrup
1 cup milk
3 egg whites
1/4 cup honey
Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
Stir softened butter, sugar and vanilla into small portions of each cookie. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Cool completely before removing from pan.
Diffuse flour and baking powder in 2 portions. Blend egg whites and honey to shake egg white mixture into 2 portions. Place marshmallow cookies on the prepared cookie sheet.
With wooden picks or fingers, score each cookie on the countertop. Dust with marshmallow syrup and milk.
Remove marshmallow top and bottom cookies by plucking parchment from on top and scraping the marshmallow mixture from the bottom of the cookies. Place marshmallow mixture on top of the cookies to prevent sticking.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven, until golden. Remove from cookie sheets to cool on wire racks. Cool completely.
