1 pound ground beef
1/2 cup olive oil
1 carrot, cut into cubes
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried rosemary
1 teaspoon dried thyme
salt and pepper to taste
4 ounces ricotta cheese
Coat the ground beef with the olive oil and carrots. Season with garlic powder and parsley, and sprinkle with basil and oregano and rosemary and thyme. Salt and pepper to taste. Cover, and refrigerate 2 hours.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Roll every inch of an inch of ricotta cheese between two sheets of waxed paper, and place they seam side down in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 1 hour. Turn over, and return to oven for an additional 15 minutes.
