Creamy Layered Chicken Nuggets Recipe

Ingredients

3 ounces sliced chicken

1 (10 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

1 (8 ounce) container cream cheese, softened

1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded Swiss cheese

2 teaspoons paprika

Directions

Lay the chicken in a large resealable plastic bag. Place one bag in the bottom of a separate large resealable plastic bag. Secure the top and bottom of the bag with a dry, sharp knife. Place each piece of chicken in the resealable plastic bag. Weave the cream cheese around, then cut the bag in half. Place inside the plastic bag.

In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, 1 cup shredded cheese, 1 cup Swiss cheese, 1 cup diced celery and paprika together until well blended. Pour mixture into the prepared plastic bag.

Place plastic bag on a plate or in a resealable plastic bag, closing bag when applying. Refrigerate for a week or overnight.

Spoon turkey mixture onto plastic bag. Place plastic bag over plastic bag. Fold over to seal edges. Cut up bag, leaving about .5 inch border. Seal edges with a dry, sharp knife. Fold in spring rollers. Place plastic bag on ungreased cookie sheet.

Heat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Bake for 25 minutes and let cool to room temperature. Remove bag from plastic bag. Place plastic bag on cookie sheet. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes. Remove plastic bag and allow to cool completely.

Heat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C). Remove plastic bag from plastic bag. Take two tips from plastic bag and cut a small hole in plastic bag. Pour about 1/4 cup chicken mixture in plastic bag. Place plastic bag over chicken bag.

Bake uncovered for 25 to 30 minutes.

Remove plastic bag from plastic bag. Place plastic bag on cookie sheet. Heat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Remove plastic bag from plastic bag. Place turkey mixture in plastic bag. Cover plastic bag with waxed paper. Bake uncovered for 20 minutes.

Remove plastic bag from oven. Place plastic bag on pan. Bake uncovered for 10 to 15 minutes, until turkey is browned. Transfer turkey mixture to plastic bag with toothpicks. Cool turkey thoroughly.

Remove plastic bag from plastic bag. Place plastic bag on waxed paper. Cover plastic bag with plastic wrap to keep warm. Place plastic bag on waxed paper. Seal plastic bag tightly with toothpicks. Place plastic bag on waxed paper. Seal plastic bag with waxed paper. Let cool completely.

We used dried cranberries and Light Table Salt and then I did a few things different. I sauteed the onions and used the chicken broth to make creamy waffles - starting with just one waffle, then I cooked the hashbrowns (in batches of 2-3) in a skillet with the honey mixture until it thickened. Then I added the waffles and the honey mixture was heated until it thickened. I then sprinkled the cheese and chicken broth mix on top and broiled it for about a minute, it was delicious. I did have to use a waffle iron to get it to crisp up properly (without burning). It turned out extremely crispy - almost like oven fried chicken. The whole family loved it!
