Super Maid Chocolate Cake Recipe

Ingredients

1 (18 ounce) package lemon flavored Jell-O

2 cups boiling water

2 cups white sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup lemon juice

1 (16 ounce) can marshmallow creme

3 tablespoons butter

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Fresh lemon juice (optional)

1 1/2 cups milk

3 eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon melted butter

Directions

Heat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

In a large bowl, dissolve boiling water in 1/2 cup sugar. Stir in lemon juice and marshmallow creme. Pour mixture into greased and floured 9-inch cake pan.

Bake in preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in center of cake comes out clean. Cool completely, and frost with lemon lemon juice if desired. Frost with Whipped Cream Frosting if desired. Refrigerate remaining cake and frosting.

In a large bowl, beat butter, sugar, lemon juice, marshmallow creme, melted butter, flour, baking powder and vanilla until smooth. Fold lemon juice into butter mixture. Spread cream cheese frosting over cake. Refrigerate or store until serving.

I have never baked bread before, but this recipe was easy to follow. I would only add that it helps to put the bread in the oven at about 120 degrees or so with a pan of warm water at the bottom. It seemed to make the bread rise faster. The results were amazing and all four loaves were eaten by friends and family in less than a day! This recipe is sure to please.
