1 1/2 cups warm milk (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
1/2 cup butter
1 2/3 cups bread flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 egg
1/8 teaspoon onion powder
1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper
1 teaspoon active dry yeast
2/3 cup shredded Swiss cheese
1/4 cup vegetable oil
3 tablespoons lemon juice
Cover fraiche with kitchen towel and set aside. In a large bowl, mix warm milk, butter, bread flour, salt, egg, onion powder, crushed red pepper, yeast and 1 cup Swiss cheese until well blended. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Blend together lemon juice and oil. Remove pan from refrigerator and place in warm place with lid on to allow liquid to be absorbed.
Heat grill (or broiler pan for outdoor use) to medium-high. Brush with oil. Grill about 2 or 3 minutes on each side or until lightly toasted. Flip and repeat with remaining ingredients.
