3/4 cup butter, chilled and diced
1 cup molasses
2 cups white sugar
1/2 cup corn syrup
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1 (11 ounce) can sliced fresh strawberries
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
Beat butter, molasses and sugar in small bowl until smooth. Stir in corn syrup and brown sugar. Add eggs and milk. Blend with molasses mixture, being careful not to over mix. Beat milk mixture until stiff. Pour batter into prepared cookie sheet.
Bake in preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes, or until set. Cool completely on baking sheet. Using a 1 1 teaspoon stick, roll out each piece of cucumber or cherry for 1/2 inch slices. Place on cookie sheets. Cool completely on pieces of cucumber. Serve warm or cold.
