1/3 cup olive oil
1 medium onion, diced
2 large scallions, minced
1 medium green bell pepper, diced
1 medium tomato, diced
3 tablespoons distilled white vinegar
1 quart milk
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 (8 ounce) can tomato paste
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 cup ketchup
1 cup brown sugar
In a medium bowl, mix olive oil, onion, green bell pepper, tomato, vinegar, milk, vinegar, salt, oregano, tomato paste, salt, pepper, lemon juice and ketchup. Mix together well and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
Remove meat from oven and slice into 1 inch slices. Pour sauce over cooked meat. Serve hot with lettuce or sandwich sandwich meat with sauce, if desired.
