3 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 teaspoon crushed garlic
2 pounds yellow onion, sliced
1 quart beef broth
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon coarse salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper, to taste
In a medium bowl, mix olive oil, garlic, onion and beef broth.
Heat cans of tomato juice, in a small bowl mix with Worcestershire sauce, basil, oregano and salt and pepper to taste.
Sprinkle marinade over meats in a single layer on a medium, uncovered baking sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 1 to 2 hours, simmering marinade over heat to reduce through cooking time.
