1 1/2 cups Italian-style red wine
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
3 teaspoons hot pepper sauce
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
In a large bowl, mix the wine, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, hot pepper sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, oil, salt and pepper to taste. Mix well and refrigerate overnight.
Plain potatoes are big enough to cover peas, but still light in color. Lightly oil a large baking dish, place a layer of potatoes on top of tomato mixture, and spread red wine over top.
Steam the steaks 5-8 minutes, or until steaks are golden. Transfer to a medium trade pot and cook on medium heat, turning frequently, until they are browned and puffed up. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
